With local musicians having their shows cancelled during the lockdown of 2020, the Desert Sings was realized.  We organized a time to get out into the desert and hear them perform and a way to share their performance on social media for others to enjoy.

Amanda Barrick is an Americana folk musician and spoken word artist. Her live performances are emotive, intimate and powerful. As a singer-songwriter she lends her voice to expressing truths with an evocative story-telling style through music and poetry. She writes music that is honest, music that connects us and music that is representative of the world we live in. Upcoming projects include; recording her debut album and preparing a book of poems for print.

YESOUISI, pronounced "Yes-We-See" a tripple entendra in English, French and Spanish is an expressive multi genre infused rock band from the desert. Kate Godfrey and David Durrant unite their unique individual writing styles to forge the rock music that is known as YESOUISI. Their normal line-up is paired with the tasty rhythms of Shanley Clark on drums and the multi-layer talent of Jed Eye Sawyer on Bass.

Ashton Een is a 16 year old self produced musician, living in St George, UT. Singing since he was 9 and started teaching himself guitar at 14. He wrote his first song by 15 and the summer of 2019 started his path on his music producing career. 2020 will be his year, releasing a new song every month.

Joe Ballent is a multi-instrumentalist and four-time veteran performer at Sundance Film Festival who plays under the musical moniker Burn Atlas. His alt-rock style ranges from influences of Incubus to Soundgarden and has been described by SLUG Magazine as "an unfound treasure". At 25 he designed and built his custom skitar, which has since been signed by members of Three Dog Night, Stone Temple Pilots, Everclear and even Jack Black. He resides in southern Utah, finishing clinicals for his medical education and jamming wherever and whenever he can with friends and fellow musicians.

Lacey Rogers and Lyndy (Rogers) Butler have been singing together their whole lives, in the slivers of time between growing up, going to school, raising kids and trying to figure out who they are. "Songwriting is how we reconcile the past, We are so grateful for where we come from, and at the same time, we are letting go of the fear of telling our stories, and growing outside of this place. Love is always with us just like the red dirt of home."

Luke grew up in the small town of Enterprise, Utah. His mom taught him piano at the age of 5 and he self taught himself guitar at the age of 16. He began songwriting around that same time and he hopes the his music will help people overcome challenges and to feel good about life.

Tom Bennett is an outlaw country one man band from Georgia. His songs come from his farm upbringing and a life of hard traveling. He has performed 2000 shows in 7 years on the road. He is best of Utah and a Country Showdown winner.
